Letter to Santa Printable

When I was little girl, we had this huge birch wood paneled wall unit that had a fake built-in fire place with a real life-like rolling fire.  I was told by my grandmother, that every Christmas Eve, Santa came through that 'fire place' to deliver his presents on Christmas Day. 

As a child, I was pretty good at figuring things out- especially when they didn't make sense.  That being said, around the age of seven, I realized that there is no possible way a whole man can fit down a chimney and survive jumping through a fire without the inevitable happening.  If that wasn't possible....it absolutely, most certainly, wasn't happening if we didn't even have a chimney with a real fire place.

Well, as I shared in an earlier post, my kids questioning Santa's existence.....because of all the playground talk about the cover up him being an imaginary person.  Maybe in a way, I'm lucky, because no one ever really told me that Santa wasn't real....so, all these years, I still kept up this idea that even if I couldn't see him...there must be something special in imagining that he was.   That's why, I still continued to believe, love and revel in the magic of Christmas!

Christmas is absolutely one of my most favorite holidays.  So, I kind of feel bad (not really) that my kids are just at that age where they're questioning if the jolly man in the red suit is real.  So....as any good mom....ahem.....I over compensate by doing all the fun Christmas Eve things for my kiddos.

Each and every year, we keep tradition and leave out cookies and write letters to Santa on Christmas Eve on the coffee table.  This year I upped the ante and set up a Treats for Santa Station and designed printable Letters to Santa templates for my kids to easily list ways they've behaved and to let Santa know their Christmas wish.   

I found a cute North Pole mailbox at Michaels to put our letters in....I can't tell you how many times I walked past it on my many visits to the store (as I practically live at Micheals).   Luckily, I nabbed it during a good sale and it is perfect!

I'll be spending the rest of the week making lots of Christmas crafts, decorating, baking and watching movies with my kids and hubby.  I am excited that the end of the year is here and that I can (hopefully) take some much needed time to spend with my family.  I've already started some crafting and decorating my 'holiday' home. 

I've had a very busy year and I love my family for supporting me and being patient with me as I continue to push through on my blogging journey and  run my Etsy shop.  They deserve my time and attention and I'm just ready to give it all to them!  I hope you are also spending lots of quality time with your loved ones and making magical holiday memories.

{Etsy Shop} Pink Hearts Valentine's Day Printables

To share the love I wanted to share some photos I took for my Pink Hearts Valentines Party Printables (available in my Etsy shop). I usually create more kid friendly designs, but I was inspired by a pink and grey cake I found online.  The colors are be perfect for any type of Valentine's Day party from kids to adults.  I think it also works well for showers and weddings!!!  I truly love this collection so much and hope you do too. I created this collage using the mini banner that comes in the kit which also includes two other mini kits and three matching larger banners!

Straw flags are the perfect topping for any drinks.  Alternately you can use them on drink stirrers for cocktails or on the stems of wine or martini glasses as drink charms.  I also love using empty Starbucks Frappuccinno bottles to serve punch in for kids parties.  Adding a coordinating party tag as a label is also a fun way to dress up a plain bottle.

I created the invitation shown below for the photos but the kit comes with a fill in invitation that is just as cute!

 My 'quick cake pops' were made with doughnut holes.....(sweets table photos trade secret).

{Holiday Recap} July 4th Holiday & Bloggerversary Announcement

What a faaaabulous time I had this year with my family! 

Every year, my mama hosts a huge gathering at her home for our big family.  It’s both sides from my grandmother’s half of the family and that’s a whole lotta kin folk.  Everyone brings a huge aluminum pan of something or other and it’s a good time to be had by all.

This year I was appointed the task of decorating the party space, so I designed these printables and set up a sweets table, as well.


 
 


Just to share some of the fun – here are some personal photos of us during our visit.  Despite wet conditions, we got to enjoy the town parade, a visit to the beach with granny and fireworks!


After all that fun and traveling back to the Nation’s Capital, I’m POOPED!!!!  Hope you all enjoyed your holiday as much as I did.  Now, onto other blog business….

FESTIVE July 4th Printables

{Sweet Treat} You've Been Pinched Door Hanger Treat

I made these door hangers for neighbors and co-workers who didn't wear green and to just celebrate St. Patrick's Day....

Here's what you'll need to make your own;

1. Download and Print the 'You've Been Pinched' door hanger on heavy white card stock and cut out.

2. Using a 1 3/4" or 2" Circle punch, punch a hole where indicated on the sheet (print out shows where to punch your hole).

3.  Cut a slanted slit on the top of the hole.

4. Attach your favorite candies to the back of the hanger.

5. Hang on the doors of neighbors, friends or coworkers!

Top Marshmallows buttercream frosting!

Fill empty jars, bowls and vases with candies, gumballs and ornaments.

Offer guests a variety of desserts by displaying sweet treats on a tiered stand.

Serve no bake desserts like Chocolate Peppermint Mousse in shot glasses with demi spoons.

Fun Chocolate Covered Apples are a fun treat and easy to make.

Use easy templates to make favor bags for guest to take home.  I created a pleated bow by folding paper fan stlye and gluing to the top of the box.  Fill them with candy, gift cards or other treats!
