Frankenstein Favor Box

Welcome to the 13 Days of Handmade Halloween!  I've gathered 13 of my FAVORITE blogging friends to share a handmade craft to get you in the Halloween spirit!   It's Day 8 and today Blanca from Creativities Galore is sharing a Frankenstein Favor Box!

Hello everyone, Blanca here from Creativities Galore I am so excited to be a part of the 13 Days of Handmade Halloween. I am sharing a cute and easy Frankenstein gable box that can be used to hold party favors at your next Halloween party.

Frankenstein Gable Box by Creativities Galore

Let's get started by gathering our supplies
  • Green gable box
  • Card stock paper: black and gray
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker
  • Glue

Frankenstein Gable Box 1

Next measure the black card stock paper to the length of the box and decide how thick you would like Frankensteins hair. Once you have the rectangle, cut out little triangles to form his hair. Glue the hair to the box.

Frankenstein Gable Box 2

Then glue the eyes to the box.

Now, cut out 2 bolts from the gray card stock and glue those to the side of the box.

Frankenstein Gable Box 4

Finally, with the black marker draw a mouth on your Frankenstein. I did a fun squiggly mouth on my box.

Frankenstein Gable Box 5

That's it, how easy right? Your little guests will love receiving these boxes as part of their party favors. Are you planning a Halloween party? Let me know in the comments below. To see more projects join me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Thank you Keisha for having me, I had fun creating this box!

Thanks Blanca, your Frankenstein treat box is super cute!   Looking for more Handmade Halloween treats, view our archives here!

{DIY Gifts} Christmas Classroom or Teacher Gift with Oriental Trading

Today I am sharing probably the quickest and easiest classroom or teacher's gift to give for Christmas.  Call me crazy, but it's a bubble gum filled jar.  I know, I know, bubble gum and teacher's don't mix, but I love the idea, so I'm going with it.

Oriental Trading sent me the most adorable mini square plastic jars from their new to market products.  For my Christmas Wishes party, they sent me a big old bag of red gumballs.  So, what's a gal to do when she's got a huge package of gumballs to get rid of before her kids get to them....give em to other kids, of course!

So, here's how it's done.  Simply fill the jars with gumballs or other candy treats, if you choose....peppermints would be perfect for Xmas.....and then tie a pretty ribbon or baker's twine to it....then....add a tag from the Christmas Wishes printables available in my Etsy shop and you're done!

I told you it was quick and easy!!!!
(Word to the wise:  The gumballs I used for this DIY are large, I would recommend a small gumball or candy.  I had a time getting these babies out of the jars).

Now, I'm really gonna flip your lid with another fun, maybe not so quick, but definitely easy, idea I have for these containers....check back tomorrow to read all about it!!!!

Items from Oriental Trading were provided free of charge by the company. Any opinions about the products are my own.  Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product(s) listed above.  No other type of compensation was received.

{Gig Masters} Affordable Easter Sweets Table Guest Post

It's great to hear good news when things are not so great personally (I'm having a ROUGH DAY today. While shopping at my beloved Target last night I either lost my cell phone or someone swiped it while I was trying to stop my son from leaping out of the cart). However, my guest post that I mentioned last week is up on Gig Masters today!  YAY!!!

Check out the post to get my tips and ideas to creating an affordable Easter Sweets Table. Also, my Bunny & Carrot Party-to-Go is still available in my shop and the price has been reduced to celebrate! Hop on over to Gig Masters to read the post!

{Sweet Treat} You've Been Pinched Door Hanger Treat

I made these door hangers for neighbors and co-workers who didn't wear green and to just celebrate St. Patrick's Day....

Here's what you'll need to make your own;

1. Download and Print the 'You've Been Pinched' door hanger on heavy white card stock and cut out.

2. Using a 1 3/4" or 2" Circle punch, punch a hole where indicated on the sheet (print out shows where to punch your hole).

3.  Cut a slanted slit on the top of the hole.

4. Attach your favorite candies to the back of the hanger.

5. Hang on the doors of neighbors, friends or coworkers!

Enjoy - and have a FUN St. Patrick's Day!

Little Aviator Party Kit Ready to Fly!

I am soooo excited!  I've been busy assembling some new party collections for my Etsy shop.  I'm just about ready to add the Little Aviator party kit to the store!  Here's an early look at what I'll soon be offering:

I can't remember exactly where I first saw address wraps - other than on a confirmation delivery from the post office - but how cute are these?!!!  The ones shown in the picture read you're invited - and work for invitations that are hand delivered, but the ones that will go on sale will have fill-in areas for the sender and addressee.

All my party mess!!!!

A party hat 'work in progress'!

Who doesn't love circle tags????  You can do so much with them!

I'm all about pennant banners lately.

I'm also all about luggage style party bag tags....I first created some for a client stationed in Japan and have been hooked ever since!

I love this collection and can't wait to post it to my shop!  YEAH!

The party kit will include:

10 Invitations w/ envelopes (5x7)
10 Envelope Address Wraps (addressee fill-in)
1 Party Planning Guide
1 Door Sign
1 Pennant Banner
24 Circle Tags
1 Birthday Child Party Hat
10 Party Hats
12 Cupcake Toppers
12 Food Toppers
10 Napkin Wraps
10 Straw Flags
10 Flying Ace Certificates
10 Favor Bags
10 Bag Tags

Ooooh...I feel a giveaway coming!

Bugs & Kisses Sneak Peek

Man, I am tired - beat - exhausted!  I was up working on a few fancy favors and a little decor for my daughter's Bugs & Kisses Valentine's Day Party.

I found this at Dollar Tree....

They have a lot of Easter stuff out right now and it was meant to be used for Easter eggs.  I thought that it would make a cute accent piece for one of my tablescapes so, I hearted it up.  These are foam stickers, stuck back to back, hole punched, strung with ribbon and hung from the branches!

I also created some fancy milk carton favors that I'll give to the girls as take-aways.

I showed them to my daughter this morning and she told me they were really nice and she can't wait for her play date (which is what we're calling it right now because the word party makes her talk non-stop about it for days on end, and I just can't take it).

Even though I am going to be up all kinds of hours this week, I gotta admit - I'm with the kid - I can't wait either!!!

Yo Gabba Gabba and Sponge Bob Party Recaps

Yes, it happened again.....I was forced to do ANOTHER character party.....dude.......I mean it was for my family members and all and really I didn't mind, but seriously??? SERIOUSLY????

Okay - so this isn't about me, right?

Here are photos of the cake that I decorated for the Sponge Bob party:

We got the idea for the cake from a cake book that my step daughter found and used it to design this cake.  Luckily, she found cake toppers at a bakery and I just added the details to the cake and cupcakes she baked!

The next party I helped with was for my little grandson’s 3rd birthday party.  He loves Yo Gabba Gabba and when my stepdaughter called a few days before the party to say she couldn’t find decorations at the party store, I just could not resist.  Okay – maybe I really wasn’t FORCED to make anything ;)

I'm hooked on penant banners and twine lately....

I made candy bar envelopes for chocolate bars - we gave these away as party favor along with jumbo swirly pops that I never got a picture of.....

Since the party store didn't have Yo Gabba Gabba plates, I enhanced clear plastic plates with personalized circle tags.
