{Friday Faves} Sparkle Rainbows and My Daughter

(Every first and third Friday of the month, I will share some of my favorite things - could be products I love, a cute idea or craft, a post from another blogger that I find interesting or any random thing that struck my interest.  Hopefully some of my faves will become yours too!)

Today's Faves:

Sparkle Rainbow Party by Soiree Event Design - party pal, Tonya Coleman always outdoes herself with her well crafted parties.  This week she shared a Sparkle Rainbow Party she threw for her daughter, that had a My Little Pony theme to it.  This party was SPARK-tacular!!!  (Hey when you read the post - check out those cute orange and pink top hats the little guests are wearing yeah, that's my handiwork! ;)

My other FAVORITE today happens to be celebrating her birthday!!!!  This little princess is one of my  FAVORITE people in the world - who I love with all my life and breath - my baby girl!  Today is the Mini Diva's Birthday!  Thing 1 turned 9 and I cannot believe I have a TWEEN!!!!  Whaaaaat?  I could give you endless reasons why she is my fave -but for now, I'll just send her birthday wishes and lots of love!!!!

Okay - I'll share one of the reasons she's my fave - she's crafty like her momma - she made that birthday badge for her to wear to school!!! (....gotta do a DIY on that!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY PRETTY GIRL!!!!

{Pin-tastic Tuesday} Chasing Rainbows

St. Patty's Day is upon us and I am feeling a lot of rainbow love this year.  Here are a few rainbow themed images that I pinned to my Prism Pinterest Board.

Rainbows  make me happy and want to skip!  I  remember trying to chase them as a kid to find a pot of gold....go figure.  These days, as I watch my little girl grow, everyday I  laugh at the funny things she does and how she reminds me of myself as a child....and even sometimes as an adult.

When I was growing up, I lived an area where I could feel like chasing rainbows was very real and magical, and luckily my neighborhood felt that way - it was called Dreamy Hollow, after all.  I know times have changed and I doubt I'd let her 3 feet from our house to even chase a butterfly, but I hope that no matter where the Mini Diva goes, that she will always be chasing rainbows and eventually find that pot o' gold!

{Keepin' It Crafty} Festive Pom Garland

Inspired by this post, I spent the better part of my weekend making a handful of these babies!  I plan on using them for The Mini Diva's Bubble-Riffic birthday party in April.

Determined to get them done I got up early Saturday morning (unheard of) and I headed out to my local Joann's Craft store and got me one a' deez and some yarn.  After hitting up a few other stores, I got home,  grilled some burgers, ate dinner, put Thing 1 and Thing 2 to bed, and me and my Mister ordered two movies On Demand then I got to pomming.  Four hours later, I'd made about forty poms!  The gals over at HonestlyWTF were right, making the poms are quite addicting, by 5 pm on Sunday, I'd made enough to make a pretty long garland.....

 Likey?  Me too.

I think they look like gumballs and will look just peachy with the other party decor.
