There were plenty of raffled products & items donated by Babies R Us ....oh lookie....more POMS decor :)

The sweets table, styled by Katie Wells & Chris Nease was just darling.....here's a closeup of some of the delicious treats!

Here I am with the guest speaker,  local News 4 Anchor, Angie Goff.....(She's so sweet and has a cute blog, Oh My Goff - check it out!)......and below I am pictured with local party pal, Katie Wells of Petite Social.

Funny thing happened on the way to Operation Shower....I ran into fellow DC Ladies writer & blogger & new party pal, Ashleigh Dorfman, of Posh Productions.  You know when you go to a function, and know you know a person in the room from somewhere, but can't quite put your finger on it until you finally find out who the person is?  Yeah, that was me and Ashleigh!  LOL  Here we are pictured with Amy McKee Belle Isle and Chris Nease.  Here is a good shot of Katie & Chris!

This is who it is all about - the moms, dads & babies of the military!!!!  It was a truly a feel-good moment to see the joy & happiness on their faces!

{Fab Friday} Operation Shower Sneak Peek

Hi all!  I wanted to share how I made those adorable sugared marshmallows for my MG Party Impressions St. Patty's Day post, but me and my fat fingers deleted a few of the photos from the tutorial.  So, I thought I'd share a few sneak peek shots I took from the Operation Shower event I was at yesterday!

Let me first say.....it was such a good feeling to be in a room baby filled room....not enough to make me have more...but was a special gift to be a mom and then to also be recognized for your sacrifice of helping keep our country safe, secure and free.  Shout out to all the military families!!!!!

My photog skills are still a work in progress, but here I am with Amy McKee Belle Isle, love her - she is awesome!!!!  Amy is the Chief Event Planner for Operation Shower.

Me and Chris Nease of Celebrations at Home gettin' it in....okay, not really, but it was fun meeting her....she's delightful and just kept me laughing!!!

The beautiful dessert table, laid out by Chris and Katie from Petite Social!  It's super cute, right??? 

I was assigned the task of blowing up a MILLION ;) balloons for these adorable centerpieces that Amy created. They were super cute and completely genius, if I do say so myself.

Here's another centerpiece that Amy came up with - she's got some great design concepts.....and I learned so much just by watching what she does.



I was so happy to be able to participate in this event and finally get to meet some of my party pals face to face!  I met so many fab ladies at this event and I can't wait to share the rest of the photos with you next week!

{Whatever Wednesday} Yarn Pom-Pom Cameo Appearances

Ya know, I've had the pleasure of having some of my adorable party yarn pom-pom garlands adorn some pretty fun parties in the past few months.  For some reason, I have not really shared them, and I'm not sure why - but the parties were fabulous and that means my little fluffy balls of yarn swagged across a room or popped into a cupcake deserve to have little time in the spotlight.

I created a super long pink and white yarn pom garland for The Petite Soiree in New Jersey for a princess themed party hosted by a local news anchor in NJ - that's pretty cool, eh?

I worked with Amy Belle from Operation Shower to coordinate a garland and yarn pom pom cupcake toppers for their 'Over the Moon' shower back in November!  Military moms rock and I was all too happy to contribute!
