{Party Recap} Princess Pool Party: Avery's Sweet 6th

A few weeks ago you may remember that I shared these fun toppers with you from a princess themed party I recently styled.  Well, I'm happy to (finally) share the rest of the party photos with you.

Avery is my daughter's bestie and when her mom asked me could I help her with a fun princess themed pool party, I could not say no.  So, I created this fun invitation for the party that Donna mailed to Avery's guests.

The party started at the pool and each of the girls attending got these fun fluffy flip flops.  To make the flip flops we cut strips of fabric and tulle and tied them around the straps of the flip flops.

After everyone had a good swim, the guests were escorted to the main dining area for a little pizza and LOTS of sweet treats!

I used the printables from the Royal Princess Party collection available in my Etsy shop for the decor.

Our party hats got a special added touch with tulle and a pretty rosette to make the party hats look like perfect fairy princess hats.

We took the treat bag tags from the printables, then attached them to a strip of coordinating patterned paper.  The strip was then affixed to a plain white paper bag and a satin ribbon topped it off.  For favors, guests received pool toys, sweets and bubbles.

I made a simple vanilla cake and frosted it with butter cream.  The cake also got a fluffy topper made using the remaining fabric from the flip flops!

I also made very simple cupcakes and added toppers to them.....I didn't intend for them to be on such a tall stick, but after looking at them for a while, I thought they looked sort of regal!  (We also made really cute lollipops out of marshmallow poles and put them in buckets filled with sand.....but guess who didn't get a picture of it? :(....so bummed).

After the party all the kids ran outside with their bubbles from the goody bags and enjoyed blowing LOTS of bubbles!  It was a good time to be had by all, but most of all, Princess Avery had a blast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!
